Leicester City are ready to complete a shock move for AS Monaco starlet Youri Tielemans. The Belgian midfielder is considered as one of the hottest young stars in Europe and could be ending up in the Premier League. According to Sky Sports negotiations between Leicester and Monaco have been progressing well.
Both clubs hope a deal can be concluded before the end of the transfer window tomorrow evening. The Foxes, however, are aware that several other clubs are lurking on the background. It is claimed that Arsenal, West Ham United and Newcastle United are looking closely at the negotiations and could make a bid on the final day of the window.
Tielemans has been one of Monaco’s few highlights of the season and the young midfielder emerged as a key player under Thierry Henry. His successor Leonardo Jardim is not a fan of Tielemans and wanted to sell the Belgium international last summer. Now that the Portuguese manager has left the club, it is believed Jardim still wants to sell Tielemans.
