Neymar will miss both of Paris Saint-Germain’s games against Manchester United. The French giants have released a statement on Wednesday confirming that the Brazilian star will be out for the next 10 weeks. Neymar suffers from a similar foot injury that kept him out of contention for three months last year.
The forward suffered the injury during PSG’s Coupe de France win over Strasbourg last week. He was examined at a hospital later that night, but a short statement then read the medical team was not able to make a complete diagnoses. After he was examined by the club on Tuesday, it was clear Neymar has suffered a similar injury as last year.
With his injury Neymar is expected to be out for at least ten weeks, but it is feared he could miss the remainder of the season. This latest news will come as a huge blow to supporters and PSG boss Thomas Tuchel, given the fact that Neymar has had such a huge influence on their 2018-19 campaign so far.
