Borussia Dortmund’s Shinji Kagawa is on his way to AS Monaco. Sky Germany report that the Japanese attacking midfielder has agreed personal terms with the struggling Ligue 1 side and that he is currently waiting on confirmation from Dortmund to complete the deal.
Kagawa has been subject of transfer rumours all January after the Japan international lost his position on the team under Lucien Favre. The former Manchester United midfielder used to be a first team regular for the Borussen, but his total this season has stopped at 98 minutes in the Bundesliga.
After securing two league titles at Dortmund, Kagawa earned a big-money move to Manchester United. He failed to impress at United under first Sir Alex Ferguson and later David Moyes. In 2016 he returned to Dortmund to sign a multi-year deal. The Japanese midfielder has made 216 appearances for Dortmund, scoring 60 goals and providing 55 assists.
