Anthony Martial signs new long-term Manchester United contract

Anthony Martial has signed a new long-term contract at Manchester United. The club confirms on Thursday that the French winger has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2024, with the option to extend for a further year.

According to Sky Sports, Martial will be earning around €275.000 a week with this new deal. The France international’s old contract was set to expire at the end of this season, but the club triggered an automatic one-year extension in November, making sure the former AS Monaco forward would not leave the club on a free transfer.

Martial and United have been talking over the extension for months, with the forward rejecting an offer in October. Martial had a difficult relationship with former manager Jose Mourinho and was reportedly keen on leaving the club if the Portuguese manager would still be in charge of the club.
