Juventus are ready to open talks with Parma to sign 37-year-old Bruno Alves as a short-term replacement for Giorgio Chiellini. It is feared that the Italian central defender has suffered a muscle tear and could be out for at least six weeks.
Chiellini was forced off the pitch during Juventus’ 3-0 loss to Atalanta in the Coppa Italia after just 25 minutes and the Bianconeri are currently examining the defender’s injury. It is feared that Chiellini could miss Juventus’ Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.
Sky Italia report that Juventus could now be making an offer for veteran centre-back Bruno Alves. The former Portugal international joined Parma last summer on a free transfer from Rangers FC and has played 20 games for Parma this season in the Serie A.
