Schalke 04 have completed the signing of Dutch international Jeffrey Bruma on a six-month loan deal from VfL Wolfsburg. The clubs also confirmed that Schalke have included an option to buy the defender at the end of the season. Bruma hopes to be claim more regular first team football at the Köningsblauen.

“It was my goal to find a club to play more regular football and Schalke is a club where I believe I can play more games. I hope to settle in quickly to help the team during the second half of the season”, Bruma told the club’s official website.

The former Chelsea and PSV defender had been struggling with an injury this season, which kept him out of contention for over two months and limited his chances in the first team at Wolfsburg. The 27-year-old Bruma joined Wolfsburg in 2016 and he has played 35 games for the club.
