Wolves sign Jonny Castro on a permanent deal from Atletico Madrid

Wolverhampton Wanderers have decided to sign Jonny Castro Otto on a permanent deal. The Spanish defender was already on loan from Atletico Madrid at Molineux and impressed the Premier League club enough for them to complete a full transfer for a reported €20m.

The 24-year-old has made 22 appearances for Wolves this season and has signed a contract until 2023. “I’m very happy to sign for Wolves. The last few days we spoke about it and now it’s official, I’ll be Wolves for the next four years,” the versatile wide-man told the club’s official website.

“I’m really happy to continue to be involved with the team. I am very happy here, the truth is that it was very easy to decide. They are treating me very well, there are great staff, great team mates and great supporters. It is a big club and really, I am very happy to be here.”
