Jurgen Klopp has laughed off the chance of re-signing a former star for €108m, while Inter Milan have finally agreed a fee for Christian Eriksen, according to Friday’s Euro Paper Talk.
KLOPP LAUGHS OFF OFFER OF COUTINHO RETURN
Jurgen Klopp has reportedly rejected the opportunity to sign Philippe Coutinho according to the latest claims in Spain.
Following reports earlier this month that Bayern Munich will not sign the Brazilian permanently, Barcelona are said to be desperately trying to find a new permanent home for the playmaker.
And El Desmarque, via the Daily Star, claims that the 27-year-old was offered to the Reds for €108m but hat Klopp laughed off any potential deal.
The same report states that Real Madrid heard about Barca potentially recouping a large sum for Coutinho and offered Isco to the Merseysiders instead.
We reported on Thursday that the Reds were planning a £59m swoop for the Spain international, but it would appear that Real sparked that interest from Klopp’s men.
The lack of a true attacking midfielder has often been spoken about as the only weakness in a Liverpool side that is running away with the Premier League title this season.
However, Klopp will be hoping that the £7m arrival of Takumi Minamino this month will eventually answer that question.
