Manchester United have made an official approach for Ajax starlet Donny van de Beek. According to De Telegraaf the Red Devils are keen on landing the 23-year-old ahead of Real Madrid and Juventus and are now ready to open talks with Ajax and the midfielder.
It is believed that Real Madrid have already agreed personal terms with Van de Beek and only a medical is needed for him to complete a move to Spain. However, the Spanish giants are feeling it is inappropriate to complete a deal worth more than 50M while the Spanish people are suffering from the coronavirus and the club decision to cut player salaries.
Manchester United are aware of Madrid’s position and are ready to make a move for the Dutch international. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to add a new midfielder to his squad, with France midfielder Paul Pogba still possibly on the move. Van de Beek could be offered a five-year deal at Old Trafford.
