FC Barcelona could be accepting a player-exchange deal for Philippe Coutinho this summer. The Spanish giants are keen on offloading the Brazilian midfielder, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, to make room in their squad for the return of Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Diario Sport, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the former Liverpool star but are both scared off by Barcelona’s demands. The club wants to earn around €90m for Coutinho, a fee which is currently to high for both Chelsea and Spurs. It is believed that both clubs have requested Barcelona to explore a possible player-exchange instead.
It seems, however, unlikely that Barcelona would accept an exchange for Coutinho. The club is said to be keen on selling the midfielder to raise the funds for the return Neymar and has even proposed PSG to include Coutinho in the deal. The player rejected the offer and has little interest in joining the Parisians.
