After FC Barcelona rejected a 100M offer for Ansu Fati, Manchester United are reportedly preparing a new bid for the talented winger. It is believed that super player agent Jorge Mendes contacted Barcelona last week to enquire about Fati’s availability and even tabled a massive bid on behalf of United.
The Spanish giants immediately rejected the offer, insisting that the 17-year-old was not for sale. But according to Sport, United are not giving up and would be willing to increase their offer. Fati has a 170m release clause in his contract and there are strong rumours United could be tempted to activate the clause.
Fati had his big break this season after he was fast-tracked from the U-18s to the first team by former manager Ernesto Valverde. After he was promoted to the first team he has featured in 24 appearances for the club. United are desperate to land a new winger during the summer transfer window and have made both Jadon Sancho and Fati important transfer targets.
