Manchester United have joined the race for AC Milan‘s Ismael Bennacer. Footmercato.com reports that the Algerian defensive midfielder has been added to the list of possible replacements for Paul Pogba for next season. United could make a move for the €50m rated Bennacer, who has been favoured by some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have all been following the former Arsenal youth player with interest this season. Bennacer is a new face at the club, only joining AC Milan last summer in a €15m move from Serie B side Empoli. The Algerian has been impressing in the San Siro this season for the Rossoneri.
Manchester United are looking to strengthen their midfield for next season. Ajax‘s Donny van de Beek is one of the leading candidates, whilst Declan Rice (West Ham United) and Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City), Denis Zakaria (Borussia Mönchengladbach) and Florentino Luis (Benfica) are also considered to be candidates.
