Chelsea are ready to start their hunt for Kai Havertz. The Blues completed the transfer of Timo Werner earlier this week and the club is now ready to start negotiations for his countryman. To generate the transfer funds needed to sign Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen, Chelsea are considering to sell a total of twelve players this summer.
While Chelsea still have a large part of the €100 million transfer fee for Eden Hazard to Real Madrid, the club will also earn €56 million for Alvaro Morata for his permanent transfer to Atletico Madrid. But after spending a €100 million on both Werner and Ajax‘s Hakim Ziyech, Chelsea will have to sell other players to gather the funds needed to sign Havertz.
According to The Times, Emerson Palmieri, Marcos Alonso, Baba Rahman, Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen, Tiémoué Bakayoko, Michy Batshuayi and Ross Barkley have been placed on the transfer list by Chelsea. The club will also consider bids for Jorginho, N’Golo Kanté and Olivier Giroud.
