Alexis Sanchez could be returning to the Spanish La Liga this summer. The Chilean forward is set to return to Manchester United following his loan spell at Internazionale, but it is widely expected that Sanchez will be told he has no future at Old Trafford. Daily Mirror reports that Sanchez could be on his way to Real Valladolid.
The Spanish club is owned by former Brazilian football legend Ronaldo and the former goal machine has praised Sanchez in recent weeks despite having difficult seasons since leaving Arsenal. Ronaldo said the ‘door was always be open’ for Sanchez if he leaves Manchester United and would like a return to Spanish football.
Sanchez did experience a successful stint in the Spanish leagues with FC Barcelona. The former Udinese forward scored 40 leagues goals in 88 appearances under Pep Guardiola before being sold to Arsenal to make room for Brazilian forward Neymar in 2014. At Barcelona he won the league title in 2013.
