Joe Hart could me making a shock return to the top of the Premier League. According to The Sun, Arsenal are considering a move for the former Manchester City goalkeeper following Bernd Leno’s serious knee injury.
The German goalkeeper had a hard collision with Neal Maupay during the 2-1 defeat at Brighton on Saturday. Leno landed on his knee and headed back to London on crutches. It is expected that Leno will now miss the remainder of the season and potentially even longer.
Emiliano Martinez will play in goal while Leno is out injured, but Arsenal want to sign an experienced goalkeeper who could compete for the spot in goal. Hart is set to leave Burnley next week when his contract expires, and will be available on a free transfer. The former England international joined Burnley in 2018 and has not made a single Premier League appearance for The Clarets this season.
