Manchester City‘s Gabriel Jesus will be targeted by Internazionale if the Italians lose Lautaro Martinez to FC Barcelona this summer. The Spanish giants have been heavily linked with a move for the Argentinian striker, who has a €111m release clause in his contract which is set to be activated in July.
Barcelona have tried to include players into the transfer, with Ivan Rakitic and/or Arturo Vidal being offered to the Nerazzurri. However, Internazionale have made clear that they only wish to sell Martinez for his full release clause and are not willing to include any player into the deal.
If Barcelona do succeed to sign Martinez this summer, reports from Manchester have claimed that Inter will target Jesus as a replacement. The Brazilian is not a regular starter at the Etihad with Sergio Aguero being Pep Guardiola‘s first choice up front. This could mean Jesus will look elsewhere with Italy as a possible destination.
