Gareth Bale has no future at Real Madrid, claims former player and head coach Jorge Valdano. According to the Spaniard boss Zinedine Zidane has already decided that the Welshman will be allowed to leave during the summer window, following a difficult season in both La Liga and the Champions League.
Bale is yet to start a game for Real Madrid since the return from the coronacrisis pandemic break, with Zidane only giving him 30 minutes of game time off the bench. Zidane told the media that Bale’s lack of starts is due to the busy schedule for Real Madrid in the coming weeks, but Valdano is not convinced.
“Zidane needs all of his players involved for these games”, he told an interview with radio station Onda Cero, reported via Mundo Deportivo. “But that seems to be without Bale, who he has already ruled out. Bale does not seem to care too much either, and coaches know when a player wants to play.”
Speculation on Bale’s future at Real Madrid have been ongoing for a couple of seasons now, with a broken down move to China last summer. Interest in Bale could be coming from the Premier League, where his former club Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have shown interest before.
