Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has added yet another record to his already impressive list of records. The 35-year-old slotted a penalty in Juve’s 2-0 win over Bologna and with that goal he became the leading Portuguese topscorer in the Serie A, overtaking former AC Milan and Fiorentina ace Rui Costa.
The goal was Ronaldo’s 22nd goal of the season, one more he scored during his first season at Juventus. With his 43rd goal in the Serie A, he also moved beyond Rui Costa on the all-time top scorers list of the league. The former midfielder spent eight years in Italy, playing 471 games for Fiorentina and Milan.
Ronaldo is also the top Portuguese scorer in the Premier League (84 goals in 196 appearances) and the leading Portuguese top scorer in the Spanish La Liga (311 goals in 292 appearances). Only Ronaldo’s biggest rival Barcelona star forward Lionel Messi has more goals in the Spanish league than Ronaldo.
