Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has made a clear statement that Harry Kane is not for sale for any price. The England striker and captain has warned the club must match his ambitions and he will not stay at the club ‘just for the sake of it’ because he is desperate to win trophies during his career.
These remarks have raised questions marks about Kane’s future at Tottenham. The club has not won a single trophy in 12 years and that has alerted clubs like Manchester United and Real Madrid for a possible move on Kane. But Mourinho has made a clear statement on Kane’s situation and future at the club.
Mourinho said during a press moment: “What the club can do? The club doesn’t need to do anything. The club just needs to say: ‘Harry Kane is ours, Harry Kane has a long term contract, Harry Kane is not for sale, Harry Kane is Tottenham, Harry Kane is staying. What do you have to do? We have to do nothing.”
Mourinho also insisted that Tottenham’s ambition match those of Kane. “We want the same, we want the same. He doesn’t want anything different from what Mr Levy wants, Mr Lewis wants and I want. He doesn’t want anything different than us.”
