Juventus have agreed a €80m fee with FC Barcelona to sign Arthur Melo this summer. The Italians now have to convince the Brazilian to join them next season after Arthur told them earlier he was not ready to leave Barcelona. A talk with Maurizio Sarri, however, has to persuade Arthur to change his mind.
The Italian coach wants to build a new team around the midfielder in a similar way he did that with Jorginho at Napoli. Juventus also increased their bid for Arthur in terms of wages, nearly doubling his current Barcelona salary. According to Sky Italia, Juventus have offered him €5m a year.
Meanwhile Barcelona and Juventus continue talking about Miralem Pjanic. Both clubs could opt for a player swap, but Barcelona feel Pjanic is worth much less than the seven year younger Arthur. While Juventus hold out for a €70m, while Barcelona value the Bosnian at around €40m.
