Sergio Aguero has been given permission bij Manchester City to travel to Barcelona for further tests on his ‘damaged knee’. The Argentinian forward was forced off the pitch in the first half of Manchester City‘s big win over Burnley (5-0) in the Premier League on Monday.
Boss Pep Guardiola fears Aguero could miss out on the rest of the season. “I’m not a doctor, but it doesn’t look good,” Guardiola responded on Monday night. “We’ll see tomorrow in a better way what he has. He felt something in his knee. He has struggled in the last month, some pain in his knee, so we will see.”
It is feared that Aguero has a rupture in his meniscus and if that is the case he will be out for at least five to six weeks, putting an end to his Premier League campaign. Though he could be available for the Champions League second leg against Real Madrid, which will be played in August.
