The Spanish La Liga could be one of the first major leagues in Europe to allow fans back into the stadium. The leagues association has released a 16-page protocol for fans returning to the stadium with the aim of allowing them back in at the start of the 2020/2021 season.
One of the details in the protocol is that fans will be given 15-minute windows to arrive at the stadium and find their seats in the stadium. This will allow clubs to reduce queues and avoid crowded places outside of the stadium. Once inside fans have to respect and maintain the social distance.
Another detail, which is a lot more interesting, is that fans will be placed 1.5m apart or more. And the fans will have to ‘avoid embracing and slapping hands’ if their side scores a goal. Also, there will be no food or drinks available to buy during the game and the fans must wear a face mask at all times. Before they enter the game each fan will receive two bottles of water.
