Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has the ambition to become one of the few players that have scored at least 200 goals in the Premier League. The England captain scored a goal as Tottenham beat West Ham United 2-0, which meant his 137th goal and his 200th appearance for Spurs.
There are only two players to have reached the magic 200 mark: Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney. “I’m still only 26 so hopefully I can get to that 200 mark sooner rather than later and go from there,” said Kane. “Scoring is the best feeling in the world. Two hundred games… it goes so quick. The years fly by and you have to make the most of it.”
Scoring against West Ham was the first goal Kane scored since December, before he picked up thigh injury that ruled him out for six months. Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho added: “I am happy for him [Kane], he worked a lot and now there will be better headlines and a better feeling for him.”
