Liverpool close in on Premier League title after easy win on Crystal Palace

Liverpool have moved one step closer to winning their first title in the Premier League in 30 years after a stunning 4-0 win over Crystal Palace. The Reds could win the title on Thursday if Manchester City fails to beat Chelsea or next week when both teams meet at the Etihad Stadium.

Trent Alexander-Arnold opened the score with a first half free kick and Mohamed Salah already wrapped up the win with a goal just before half time. With a 2-0 lead Liverpool secured their 100 per cent league record at Anfield this season.

In the second half of the game Fabinho pushed the score into 3-0 before Sadio Mane finished the score at 4-0 after 70 minutes. The Senegal forward finished off a splendid pass from Salah, who allowed his teammate a clear run on goal before steering a low shot past Wayne Hennesy. Liverpool can now sit back and enjoy the game at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.
