Manchester United remain in pole position to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer despite interest from Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool. The Red Devils, however, are not prepared to get involved in a bidding ware and are waiting for Sancho’s price to drop before making their next move.
United have been in awe of Sancho for a while now but they are not happy about Dortmund’s €125m price tag for the England international. Dortmund confirmed earlier that there have not been any official bids for Sancho and it is possible that a bid for the former Man City winger could wait until the final weeks of the summer transfer window.
Also, United are aware that their competitors are either looking at other targets or lack the funds to match a bid for Sancho. Real Madrid would favour a move for Kai Havertz, while Liverpool have stated that they will not be making any major signings this summer. Manchester City, meanwhile, have confirmed that a central defender is their top priority for next season, making it unlikely that they will try to resign Sancho.
