Arsenal could be considering to sell Matteo Guendouzi this summer with boss Mikel Arteta reportedly becoming more and more frustrated with the French midfielder. The 21-year-old was involved in a bust-up with Brighton Hove & Albion players, grabbing striker Neal Maupay by the throat following a 2-1 defeat.
The FA announced a day later that Guendouzi avoided a potential three-match ban for the incident. After the game Maupay also stated that the former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder lacked ‘humility’ and that he was constantly taunting Brighton players throughout the entire match.
Reports claim that Guendouzi called Brighton players ‘s**t’ and and mocked them for earning less than his €45k-a-week salary. With these accusations, the Daily Mail reports that Arteta is becoming increasingly annoyed with him and could even decide to sell the midfielder. While the Spaniard defended his player in the media, it is not the first time the two had a fall-out having a row earlier this season during a tactical session at Arsenal’s training ground.
