Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero has been successfully operated in Barcelona. The 32-year-old Argentinian striker posted a picture on Twitter and stated that the surgery has went well. Aguero was operated by Ramon Cugat, who has operated on numerous Man City players in recent years.
Aguero tweeted: “Everything went well, and I’ll soon begin recovery. A big thanks to Dr Cugat and his team – and to all of you for your support.” No timescale has been put on the Aguero’s return but he has not yet been ruled out for the Champions League resumption in August.
Prior to the surgery on Wednesday, City’s manager Pep Guardiola stated: “Once he has finished the surgery we will know the time Sergio will come back to play with us.” Asked if the top goalscorer would be back in time for the Champions League he said: “I don’t know right now.”
