Manchester City are not giving up on keeping Leroy Sane just yet. The English giants are ready to fight off Bayern Munich for the German winger, reports The Telegraph. Sane rejected the chance to extend his contract beyond 2021 at Man City and it appeared he would be favouring a move to Bayern.
Bayern already tried to sign Sane last year as the Germans saw several bids around €100m rejected by Man City. The Germans are now keen to capitalise on the 24-year-old’s contract situation at the Etihad, and have halved their bid to €50m and are refusing to raise their initial offer any higher.
Manchester City are not impressed by Bayern’s statements and the club is prepared to play hardball as they seek an improved offer that matches the €100m offer Bayern made last year. Meanwhile, City are doing everything in their power to convince Sane to sign a new bumper multi-year contract at the Etihad.
