Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says he’s confident that Bukayo Saka will sign a new deal with the club. the 18-year-old’s current deal will run out next summer and negotiations over a new deal have been ongoing without an agreement. Arsenal would like to avoid Saka leaving the club on a free transfer as they consider the young winger as a big prospect.
Therefore the Gunners are willing to raise Saka’s wages to show their recognition for his performances this season. The youngster has been enjoying a breakout season at the Emirates and he has developed into a first team regular. Saka’s entourage, however, are not happy with the proposed wages and are pushing for a bigger deal.
However, Arteta is confident the young winger will put his signature under an improved deal very soon. “I am very positive that everything is going to be done with Bukayo very shortly,” said Arteta. “The communications between the club, agents & the family has been going on for months & is very fluent.”
