Bayern Munich are prepared to offload Thiago Alcantara to generate funds to sign Bayer Leverkusen‘s in-demand midfielder Kai Havertz. According to Kicker, Bayern have put a €60m price tag on 29-year-old Thiago, who has attracted the interest from both Liverpool and Chelsea.
Earlier this year Bayern negotiated with Thiago to extend his contract beyond 2021, but the midfielder has hesitated to put his signature under the new deal. This has made Bayern overthink their offer and it is believed that Bayern have even decided to withdraw their offer for the former FC Barcelona midfielder.
The report claims that Bayern now want to sell Thiago and use the transfer fee to create a solid foundation to sign top German talent Kai Havertz. The Leverkusen youngster has been on Bayern’s wanted list for years and with increased interest in Havertz, the German giants are keen on speeding up their actions to sign Havertz during the summer transfer window.
