According to Italian sources, Arthur Melo and Miralem Pjanic will both have medicals tomorrow, ahead of the proposed swap between Juventus and Barcelona. Due to the coronavirus there’s still limitations on travelling from Italy to Spain, so the medicals will both be held in Turin, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Reports say the clubs have reached an agreement and personal teams between the players and clubs have also been agreed. The move will see Arthur Melo join Serie A side Juventus and Miralem Pjanic + €10 million go to Barcelona. Though, both players will finish the season for the clubs they’ve started the season with.
Pjanic is keen to leave Barcelona after after a difficult season and relationship with coach Maurizio Sarri. The Bosnian midfielder has lost his position as a first team regular under the former Napoli and Chelsea boss, expressing his frustration on more than one occasion. Arthur Melo dismissed interest from Juventus earlier, but has since changed his mind about a possible transfer.
