FC Barcelona head coach Quique Setien refuses to give up on the La Liga title despite their 2-2 draw against Celta de Vigo on Saturday. The Blaugrana went into the game on equal points to Real Madrid and needed a win to add pressure onto Real Madrid, who will play Espanyol on Sunday.
Barcelona failed to win, despite having large portions of possession against Celta and even leading for most part of the game. After the game Setien told reporters: “We’ve got little margin for error now and, in theory, we have to win all our games and hope our rival slips up. We’ll try to keep picking up maximum points.”
At this point Barcelona will have to win every single game, while Real Madrid need to drop at least three points over the next seven matches. Real face relegation battling Espanyol on Sunday and need a win to claim back the top position. Barcelona’s season will continue on Tuesday when Atletico Madrid will be at the Camp Nou.
