Juventus midfielder Simone Muratore has completed a transfer to Atalanta Bergamo. The 22-year-old’s transfer was confirmed on the websites of both Juventus and Atalanta. Speaking to his new employer Muratore has explained he is happy to receive a new challenge in the Serie A and he welcomes to work under boss Gian Piero Gasperini.
“Atalanta represent a great opportunity for me, and I intend to give my best to repay the faith they have shown in me,” he told the club’s website. “What Atalanta are doing in the League and in Europe is evident for everyone. Now I can’t wait to start working with Mr Gasperini and my new teammates.”
Juventus also confirmed the transfer with a statement on their website. “Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announce that we have reached an agreement with Atalanta B.C. S.p.A. for the permanent transfer of the sporting rights of the player Simone Muratore, for a fee of €7m, payable over four years. This transaction generates a positive economic effect of approximately €6.8m net after costs.”
