Manchester United are reportedly preparing a bid for Valencia winger Ferran Torres. The Red Devils fear that a move for Jadon Sancho could not be made this summer due to the coronavirus pandemic and its financial impact. A move for Ferran would be much cheaper as Valencia are demanding around €40m for the winger.
Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that the 20-year-old sits in second place on Manchester United’s wanted list behind Sancho. The Borussia Dortmund starlet will, however, cost more than €100m and in these financially uncertain times, United are not able to spend these kind of transfer fees.
This has lead United exploring alternatives for Sancho with Torres as their number two target. Recently the club has also been linked with Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga, who is considered to be the third on the list, while it is expected that he will be the cheapest option of the three.
