Serie A giants Internazionale are closing in on signing Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid. Inter’s CEO Guiseppe Marotta has confirmed that his club has entered into advanced talks over the Moroccan international, who has been on loan at Borussia Dortmund for the past two seasons.
“The will of our owners, the Zhung family, is to continue buying important players,” he told Sky Sports. “I can confirm we are in advanced negotiations over Hakimi. Tomorrow will be an important day, but I am optimistic. “Our sporting director Piero Ausilio has done a good job with this in the last few months, but it is important we conclude the negotiation.”
The CEO did not unveil any details about the deal for the 21-year-old defender, but it is believed that Madrid and Inter have agreed terms on a deal worth €40m. Borussia Dortmund also showed interest in the defender, but the Germans only wanted to continue their loan while Madrid was looking to sell the talented defender.
