Bayern Munich have no intention of offering David Alaba for Leroy Sane

Respected journalist David Ornstein says Bayern Munich have no intention of offering Manchester City a player swap between David Alaba and Leroy Sane. Rumours about a possible swap deal emerged as Bayern are having difficulties signing Sane from Manchester City this summer.

It was then suggested that Bayern could add Alaba as a make weight. The defender’s current deal will expire next season and no progress has been made regarding a new contract. However, the club is said to be confident a new agreement will be reached before the Austrian will leave the club on a free transfer.

Therefore Bayern have no intention of adding their star defender into the deal for Man City’s Sane. The German giants are still actively trying to sign Sane this summer as the winger reportedly already agreed personal terms. Bayern are offering up to €45m for Sane, but City are holding on to a €100m transfer fee.
