Italian Serie A club Napoli are planning to complete a double swoop worth €100m this summer, claims freelance journalist Manu Lonjon. The Spanish journalist says that the Italians have marked OSC Lille attacker Victor Osimhen and Brazilian central defender Gabriel Magalhaes as possible transfer targets for this summer.
The report states that Lille will ask around €70m for Osimhen. The Nigerian striker had an impressive season for the French club in the Ligue 1, before it was interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. He scored 18 goals and recorded 6 assists in 38 games across all competitions this season.
However, it is believed Osimhen would prefer a move to England ahead of Italy and would preferably wait for interest from the Premier League. In recent weeks Newcastle United have been linked with a move for the forward. The Magpies, however, will need to finish their Saudi take-over before they can make big money signings this summer.
Meanwhile, Gabriel is believed to be open for a move to the Serie A. The centre-back had his breakthrough season at Lille and has already been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur as a direct replacement for Jan Vertonghen, who will leave the club on a free transfer. The report states that Lille is holding out for a €30m fee for the Brazilian defender.
