Dean Henderson will stay at Sheffield United until the end of the Premier League season after the Blades reached an agreement with Manchester United to extend his loan. The 23-year-old was set to return to Old Trafford on July 1st, but will now remain at Bramall Lane until the conclusion of the extended campaign.
Henderson has been an impressive performer this season for Sheffield as the Blades have mounted a surprise challenge for European football. Henderson has kept 11 clean sheets this season and his performances has even earned him his first England call-up in October 2019.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best young goalkeepers in the Premier League and United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already expressed the belief that Henderson will be the number one goalkeeper at Old Trafford at some point. Recently reports emerged that Henderson only wants to return to United if he will be guaranteed the number one spot in goal.
