Ivan Perisic is set to return to Internazionale next season as Bayern Munich are not prepared to exercise their option to buy the Croatian international. The German giants had an option to sign Perisic, who has made 30 appearances for the club, on a permanent deal for a fixed €20m transfer fee.
However, the club has now decided not to activate the clause. The report claims that Perisic’s age, wage demands and his status of a back-up player are the main reasons for Bayern not to sign the forward on a permanent deal. This means Perisic will return to Italy next season to play under Antonio Conte again.
Another reason for Perisic’s return to Inter could be the signing of Manchester City‘s Leroy Sane. On Tuesday both BILD and BCC reported that an agreement between Bayern and City was closed and that the German left winger will be on his way to Munich to complete a medical and finalise his €60m transfer.
