Mohamed Salah does not have any intention to leave Liverpool any time soon. The Egyptian forward says he wants to stay at Anfield for a very long time. Salah is the club’s top goalscorer and has already scored 17 goals in the Premier League, which helped the Reds secure their first league title in 30 years.
The 28-year-old has 3 years left on his current deal, but he hopes to remain beyond those 3 years. “I’m very happy, I can’t describe my feelings after we won the league after 30 years,” he told BeIN Sports. “I can see people’s joy and this is so important for all of us. I enjoy the atmosphere here … I love this place and I hope to stay for a long time.”
After winning the Champions League in 2019, the club has now moved on into winning the Premier League. “We have adapted well as a team and our understanding is perfect. If this continues, we can achieve more. It’s difficult to maintain our current level, but it’s not impossible.” The 28-year-old joined the club from Roma for £35m in 2017 and scored 44 goals in his first season alone.
