Antoine Griezmann‘s adventure at FC Barcelona has not been what people had hoped for. The French forward was brought to the club as a new super star, but the French forward has been struggling in performances, failing to live up to the expectations. After Griezmann was allowed several minutes of playing time against his former club Atletico Madrid (2-2), the forward’s management have requested a meeting with the Barcelona board.
According to Le Parisien, Griezmann was very unhappy to be sidelined for the match against his former club. The forward was held on the bench for most part of the game, even when Barcelona needed a goal to push for the win in the second half. Quique Setien did eventually bring Griezmann on the pitch, but that was after the 90 minutes had already passed and there were only several minutes left to play.
The report claims that Griezmann has asked his management to contact Barcelona and request a meeting with the board. One of the major topics during the meeting will be the forward’s future at the club as rumours of a potential exit at Nou Camp are rapidly growing and it is believed Griezmann wants the club to make a clear statement.
