Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to leave AC Milan and return to Sweden

Sky Sport Italia have suggested that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be offered a new contract at AC Milan to stay with the club beyond this season. Sky expects Zlatan to stay at Milan until the end of the season, before moving back to Sweden. It is claimed that Zlatan could sign for Hammarby.

Ibrahimovic owns part of the club and trained with them during the coronavirus lockdown. In recent years he has never made it a secret he would once be returning to his home country. At first it appeared that the forward would return to his former club Malmo, but after buying himself into Hammarby, this club looks like the most likely club to sign him.

The 38-year-old forward, who turns 39 in October, has made 11 appearances for Milan since he rejoined the club in January. He recently recovered from an injury to his calf and is available again for selection. During his career Zlatan has played for Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Internazionale, FC Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, LA Galaxy and again AC Milan.
