Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick hopes that Thiago Alcantara will snub the interest from Liverpool and sign a new multi-year deal at the Allianz Arena. Thiago has missed a large part of the season due to an injury but Flick hopes to convince the Spanish midfielder to stay at the club beyond this season.
“I hope he won’t go”, Flick said on the suggestion Thiago could be on his way to Liverpool. Last week the midfielder limped off injured against Bayer Leverkusen after only 16 minutes of play. Flink, however, reassures that the 29-year-old is fit enough to play.
“The operation was not that long ago, but everything we had planned was accomplished. He is able to start tomorrow”, Flick said. Bayern and Leverkusen will play each other this weekend in the German DFB Pokal final in Berlin.
