West Ham United are under investigation by the FIFA for a claim by Eintracht Frankfurt relating to the transfer of Sebastien Haller. The German club has filed a complaint with FIFA that they have not yet received a total of €6m from the Hammers as a part of the deal for the French striker.
In a statement, FIFA said: “We can confirm that we have received a claim from the German club Eintracht Frankfurt against English club West Ham United. The matter is still being investigated and consequently we cannot provide any further comments.”
Sky Sports report that sources around West Ham United have insisted that the delay of the payment came about after an issue between the clubs and that the payment is currently in the process of being dealt with. Both West Ham and Eintracht Frankfurt have stated they will not comment on the issue.
