Griezmann ‘likes’ idea of leaving FC Barcelona for Premier League giants

If FC Barcelona decides to offload Antoine Griezmann during the summer, the France international likes the idea of moving towards the Premier League. According to the Daily Star both Manchester United and Arsenal have already contacted Griezmann’s agent to declare their interest if the forward becomes available on the market.

Griezmann was Barcelona’s major signing last summer, completing a deal worth €100m from Atletico Madrid. The forward has made 32 appearances and scored eight goals. However, since his signed for the club, rumours of a tough relationship with Lionel Messi have been surrounding Griezmann.

After the forward was limited to several minutes against Atletico Madrid, many outlets have reported that Griezmann and his entourage have requested a meeting with the board to discuss his immediate future with the club and seeking confidence from the board in his qualities. The Daily Star reports that the outcome of the meeting could send Griezmann towards the Premier League.

Both Arsenal and Manchester United are looking to sign a forward this summer. The Gunners fear of losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but signing Griezmann as a replacement could be considered a good move. United have Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford as its dynamic duo, making a move to Old Trafford less likely.
