Former AS Roma midfielder Daniele de Rossi could be landing his first job in football management as the Italian has appeared on the radar of Serie A side Fiorentina. According to Corriere dello Sport, De Rossi is among the names being considered to replace Fiorentina boss Beppe Iachini.
De Rossi retired from professional football in January after a short spell at Argentinian giants Boca Juniors. The 36-year-old has been studying to complete his coaching course and it appears he would be open to join La Viola if they would offer him the job. Fiorentina’s sporting director Daniele Prade has a strong relationship with De Rossi and would welcome the former midfielder as their new head coach.
However, Sky Sport Italia have reported that De Rossi will not be considered as first team coach at Fiorentina, but he will be offered the role of Primavera coach. De Rossi’s father Alberto has also been a Primavera coach at AS Roma, a position he has held since 2004.
