Liverpool will wrap up the signing of Thiago Alcantara after the German Cup Final on Saturday. Express reports that the Reds already have been in contact with Bayern Munich and that an agreement for a €35m has been made. Thiago will fly to England next week to finalise the deal.
Klopp lead Liverpool to their first league title in thirty years this season and the German is keen on strengthening his team this summer to keep on fighting for silverware. Thiago has been linked earlier with Liverpool as Klopp is reportedly looking to sign a real playmaker for his midfield.
Thiago joined Bayern Munich seven seasons ago in a transfer from FC Barcelona. The Spanish international has won seven back-to-back Bundesliga titles and the 29-year-old is reportedly looking for a new challenge in his career. Earlier on Saturday Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz-Rummenigge confirmed Thiago will be leaving the club this summer.
