Cristiano Ronaldo finally scored a free kick as Juventus smashed city rivals Torino 4-1. The Portuguese forward, who became the first Juve player with 25 goals in the Serie A in over 50 years, needed 43 attempts to have finally scored a goal from a free kick and after the game he admitted he ‘really needed’ that goal.
“I really needed that free kick goal so I could get some confidence back,” confessed Ronaldo to Sky Sport Italia. “We knew it would be a difficult game, but we worked hard, won and are now putting pressure on Lazio. We achieved the objective today.”
Next opponent will be AC Milan, a difficult team to play and without Paulo Dybala all eyes will be on Ronaldo. “It doesn’t matter who scores goals, as long as the team wins. We’re all in good shape and will try to win against Milan too, which is another difficult match.” After Juve’s win they are now 7 points clear of Lazio, who lost 3-0 to Milan on Saturday.
