Former Paris Saint-Germain and France boss Laurent Blanc has emerged as a leading candidate to take on the Valencia job. L’Equipe report on Sunday that the French manager is topping the shortlist of Valencia, who sacked Albert Celades two weeks ago. Los Ches want to install a new manager for next season.
And it could be that Blanc is happy to step in next season at the Mestalla as the former Manchester United and Internazionale defender has been without a job since he left Paris Saint-Germain in 2016. He has been linked with several jobs in Italy and England, but he has not accepted a job in almost four years.
Meanwhile, Valencia are actively looking to sign a new manager for next season. The club sacked Celades last week due to Valencia’s poor performances in La Liga and have appointed Salvador González Marco (Voro) as a caretaker. Marco Silva and Quique Sanchez Flores are also linked with the job.
