Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has admitted that it is difficult to see his former club Liverpool win the Premier League this season. The winger left Liverpool several seasons ago to join Manchester City and since joining the Citizens, Sterling has won two Premier League titles.
But despite the England winger being successful in Manchester, he admits that seeing his former club winning the title is difficult. He told Sky Sports: “It is difficult seeing Liverpool take the title from us, but they have been brilliant all year. They have been fantastic and deserved to win the league.”
While Liverpool won the title, Man City is still in the running for the Champions League and FA Cup. The Reds lost the round of 16 against Atletico Madrid, while the FA Cup ended prematurely after a loss to Aston Villa. In August the Champions League will resume and City will have to face Real Madrid after beating the Spaniard 2-1 in Madrid.
